Use this product page to specify PET roll stock for a roll-fed thermoforming line. The application guide explains the wider material selection process; the order specification must identify the proposed grade and the roll configuration required by your equipment.
| Product | PET plastic sheet rolls for thermoforming |
| Material | Polyethylene terephthalate (PET); confirm the proposed grade and any recycled-content requirement. |
| Application | Roll-fed forming of trays, lids, clamshells and packaging inserts; suitability requires a trial on the intended equipment. |
| Thickness and tolerance | Provide the starting gauge, tolerance and required formed-part criteria for quotation. |
| Roll width | Specify usable web width and trimming requirements against the forming line. |
| Core and roll size | Specify core inner diameter, maximum outer diameter and maximum roll weight. |
| Winding | Confirm winding direction, treated side, permitted splices and roll identification. |
| Appearance | Define clarity, color and acceptable surface defects using an approved sample. |
| Surface requirements | State any slip, anti-block, anti-fog, printing or electrostatic-control requirement for grade review. |
| Food-contact use | Specify food type, contact time, temperature and destination market; request documentation for the exact proposed grade. |
| Packing | Confirm core support, pallet arrangement, protective wrapping and unloading requirements. |
| Samples and delivery | Confirm sample quantity, order volume, destination and required schedule in the quotation. |
The roll configuration and formed-pack requirements should be agreed together. A nominal PET thickness alone does not define how material will run on a particular tool.
Provide the forming method, tool drawing, cavity depth and intended pack load. Describe the forming line and any plug-assist step. Establish settings through grade-specific guidance and a controlled sample trial rather than relying on a universal temperature range.
Review wall distribution, corner thinning, flange flatness, trim quality and fit. Include stacking and denesting checks where packs will be handled automatically. Record the agreed acceptance criteria before approving bulk material.
Specify roll width, thickness tolerance, core inner diameter, maximum diameter, roll weight, winding direction and permitted splices. Identify any treated side and the roll-label information required for traceability.
Send the drawing, material requirement, roll configuration, trial criteria, quantity and destination. Confirm the proposed grade, sample plan, packing and delivery schedule in the quotation.
PET sheet rolls provide roll-fed stock for thermoformed trays, lids, clamshells and packaging inserts. Confirm the proposed PET grade and evaluate a sample with the intended tool and forming process.
Specify starting thickness and tolerance, usable web width, core inner diameter, maximum roll diameter, maximum roll weight, winding direction and permitted splices.
Check corner thinning, wall distribution, trim quality, fit, stacking and denesting against agreed acceptance criteria. Confirm the grade, processing guidance and final roll specification after the trial.
