Soft-touch finishes sell furniture in the showroom, because the decision to buy a cabinet door is partly made by hand. A deep matte surface with a slight velvet drag feels considered in a way that gloss does not, and it has become the default in premium kitchens and wardrobes across Europe and North America. Skin sense PETG film is how that surface is produced at panel scale. Goflexpet manufactures it on its own coating and lamination lines in Ganzhou, China.
A specialized topcoat, not the polymer. Soft touch PETG film is made by applying that coating over a solid-color or printed polyester base; the coating is formulated to scatter light so the surface reads as a deep, even matte with very low reflectance, and to give a faint resistance under the fingertips — the quality that makes people call it velvet or suede. The name skin sense film comes from the Chinese decorative panel industry, where the range originated; European and North American buyers usually ask for the same product as soft touch or super matt. Underneath, the base is glycol-modified polyester, so the film keeps the impact resistance, forming behavior and color stability of ordinary PETG. That combination is what makes soft touch decorative film practical for production: the surface is unusual, but the lamination process is the same one your line already runs.
This is the first thing serious buyers ask, and it deserves a straight answer. Early soft-touch coatings marked badly — a dark panel would hold every fingerprint and show cleaning cloth marks. Modern anti-fingerprint PETG film coatings are formulated specifically to reduce that, and they do reduce it substantially, but no matte surface in this class is completely immune, particularly in deep black. The practical guidance is to test the exact color you intend to sell, not a mid-tone sample, and to test it after cleaning rather than straight from the roll. We supply the specific shade for that trial precisely because the answer varies by color.
Darker colors show marks more readily than pale ones on every soft-touch product on the market, which is worth factoring into a range decision rather than discovering later.
Kitchen and bathroom cabinet fronts, wardrobe and sliding door panels, bedroom furniture, appliance fronts, office and hospitality joinery, and feature wall panelling. A soft touch PETG sheet in rigid gauge is also used for fabricated components and display work where the panel itself is the finished part. The material laminates onto MDF, particleboard and plywood with standard flat lamination equipment and PUR or EVA adhesives, and wraps a profiled edge within its forming window.
A matte surface is cleaned differently from a gloss one. Mild detergent and a soft cloth are correct; abrasive creams, solvent cleaners and scouring pads will polish shiny patches into the finish that cannot be reversed. Where panels face heavy daily use we recommend a hardened topcoat, and we recommend leaving the protective film in place until installation regardless of grade. Passing this guidance on to the end customer is worth doing, because most complaints about soft-touch panels trace back to cleaning method rather than to the material.
We are the factory, not an intermediary: eight automated lines, about 50 tons of daily output, ISO 9001 certification, and REACH and RoHS compliance for export to Europe and North America. Custom colors are produced as dedicated runs, so minimum order quantity and lead time are higher than for standard shades — both are confirmed before you commit. OEM and ODM programs are supported for panel manufacturers on scheduled volume. Send your color reference, sheen level, gauge, width and annual quantity to sales@goflexpet.com, and we will send samples of the exact shade for fingerprint and cleaning trials before you order.
It resists them substantially better than early soft-touch coatings, but no deep matte surface in this class is completely immune, and dark colors show marks more than pale ones. The reliable way to judge it is to test the exact shade you intend to sell, after cleaning rather than straight from the roll. We supply samples in the specific color for that trial.
With mild detergent and a soft damp cloth. Abrasive creams, scouring pads and solvent cleaners will burnish shiny patches into a matte surface, and that damage cannot be reversed. It is worth passing this guidance to the end customer with the product, because most complaints about soft-touch panels trace back to the cleaning method used rather than to the material itself.
Yes. The matte topcoat is applied over solid colors and over printed wood, stone and metallic decors, giving a low-sheen version of those surfaces. Sheen level can be set from near-dead matte through to a soft satin. Tell us the decor and the sheen target and we will send a physical sample rather than a description, since matte levels vary between suppliers.
Yes. Colors are matched to a Pantone or RAL code or to a physical panel you send, which is the more reliable reference for a matte surface. Custom shades run as dedicated production, so the first order carries a higher minimum quantity and longer lead time than standard colors. Both are quoted before you commit, and repeat orders run against the approved standard.
Yes, and it is one of the main uses for the material. For panels facing heavy daily contact we recommend specifying a hardened topcoat, and keeping the peelable protective film on until installation so that handling damage in the factory is avoided. The polyester base itself is impact resistant, waterproof and dimensionally stable in kitchen and bathroom conditions.
