Goflexpet has extruded APET sheet in Ganzhou, Jiangxi since 2013, and the stock described here comes off our own eight automated lines rather than a trading desk. The plant covers more than 10,000 m² and produces around 50 tons a day, so a qualification quantity and a repeat monthly order run to the same recipe. Buyers arrive here from two directions: some know the gauge and grade and want a price, others have a pack and need the material decided. Both start from the specification below.

What the Material Actually Is
APET identifies a material family rather than a complete packaging specification. Confirm the resin grade, surface treatment, thickness and supply format for the intended pack. Optical, forming, food-contact and recycling claims need to be reviewed for the proposed material and actual end use.
What does APET stand for?
It stands for amorphous polyethylene terephthalate. Identify the proposed APET grade, thickness and surface treatment in the specification. Review its supplier data and a representative sample for the intended process rather than assuming all APET materials have the same clarity or forming performance.
Where This Stock Goes
For trays, lids, blisters, folding-box windows or component packaging, describe the finished part, forming or converting process and contact requirements. Confirm the selected grade and any surface treatment by documentation and sample trial. Do not assume food-contact suitability, ESD performance or sealing compatibility from a packaging category alone.
Buying Direct from the Extruder
Buying an APET plastic sheet specification through an intermediary adds a margin and, more expensively, a week to every technical answer. Direct from the plant, the person who can change a chill-roll temperature is on the same thread as your process engineer. OEM and ODM runs, custom gauges, widths and color matching are all standard. Around 30% of output is exported — USA, Europe, Mexico, Brazil, Southeast Asia, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan — so export paperwork is routine here.

Describe the required function before selecting the grade or treatment.
- For clear packaging, specify clarity, tint and any virgin-resin or recycled-content requirement.
- For printing or destacking, identify the processed side and review the proposed silicone or other surface treatment.
- For antistatic needs, state the intended environment and the required test method.
- For conductive or static-dissipative packaging, specify the resistance criterion, units, test conditions and acceptance limit; request results for the exact grade.
- For anti-fog packaging, identify coating side, temperature, humidity and display duration for the sample review.
- For color or decorative treatments, supply an agreed reference and confirm available grade, finish and tolerances.
If comparing APET with a GAG or other multilayer construction, confirm the layer structure, processing conditions and sample requirements separately. Do not assume interchangeable tooling or performance.
